How to play
Everything there is to do, and how to do it. Little ones can just tap and see what happens!
Getting started
Press Play to carry on with your island, or New island for a brand-new one (tap it twice: it asks, so nobody makes one by mistake). Play with friends joins a game with other people, all on one island.
On a tablet, the arrows at the bottom left walk and turn, and dragging the picture looks around. The big up arrow jumps: tap it twice quickly to fly. Tap anywhere to put a block there, and the pink eraser takes one away.
On a computer, Play grabs the mouse, so just move it to look. W A S D or the arrows walk, a click takes a block away, and a right-click puts one down. Esc gives you the mouse back.
Every word on the cards has a little speaker beside it: tap it to hear the word read out loud.
The ? button at the top shows all of this in the game too, and the house button goes back to the start.
The controls
Walking
- Walk forward, walk back
- Turn
- Drag the picture to look around
- Jump. Tap it twice quickly to fly, or to stop flying. Hold it to fly or swim up
- Fly or swim down (it shows while you fly or swim)
Building
- Tap the picture to put your block there, open a door, nap in a bed, sit on a bench, eat your food, pet an animal or hop in a car
- The same, where the little cross in the middle points
- Take away the block the cross points at (or pick the eraser, then tap a block)
- With a crayon, draw on a wall with your finger (a tap makes a dot); the eraser rubs a drawing off
- With a sign, tap the ground or the side of a block, then tap the sign to put it there and write on it
- All the blocks, and your clothes. Tap one, then a slot
Driving
- Tap a car, a fire truck, the bulldozer or a moon rover to hop in (or a car's back, to see what's in it)
- Steer
- Go, back up
- Honk, siren on or off
- Customize it: paint it your colors, give it a sticker and put your name on it
- Drive it from the driver's seat, looking out of its windows, then move over to the seat beside it, or go back out to watch it from behind
- Seatbelt on or off (or, sitting inside, tap your lap; tap the other seat to move over)
- Put things in it, or take them out, sitting in it or standing next to it (a pickup truck carries them in its back)
- Get out
Planes, helicopters, the train and the ferry
- Tap a plane, a helicopter or the train, then tap where to go
- Call a helicopter to come and fetch you (on the Moon and the planets, a lander), then tap it and pick where to go
- Tap 🎨 Customize to paint a plane, a helicopter, the rocket or the train your colors, give it a sticker and put your name on it, and choose the train's carriages
- In the rocket, tap 🐢 Slow, 🚀 Normal or ⚡ Fast for how fast to go in space
- In a big plane or a helicopter, tap 🧑✈️ Pilot or 💺 Passenger; on the train, 👷 Driver or 💺 Passenger
- Ring the chime on the way
- Walk or drive onto the ferry, and off it goes
The quiz to get in
- Tap the answer to the sum, or the missing letter; tap a speaker to hear it. A wrong one, and try again (in Options, the quiz can be turned off, or given more answers or fewer)
- Then tap 🔄 New quiz for another one, or Let's go to get in and set off
Inside a plane or a helicopter
- See it from inside (where you start), or go back out to watch it
- Get up out of your seat, and walk about
- Tap any seat to sit in it, a door to open it, a window's blind, a screen or a light
- Sitting, tap your lap to put your seatbelt on or take it off
- Open a door up in the sky and whoosh, out you go! Tap jump twice quickly to fly
- Pick a toy, then tap a seat or the floor to let go of it there (tap it to give it a push; the eraser takes it away again)
Inside the train
- See it from inside (where you start), or go back out to watch it
- Get up out of your seat, and walk about it, from the engine's cab to the caboose's porch
- Tap a door to slide it open or shut, a seat or a bunk to sit in it, the whistle's cord, the bell, the snack counter or a toy
Inside the rocket
- Go inside the rocket while it takes you, or back out to watch it
- Walk about while the engine pushes, or float about while it's off (and get up from the seat)
- Climb up and down the ladder, or float up and down
- Tap the pilot's seat to sit in it, the buttons to press them, or a toy to give it a push
- Pick a toy, then tap to let go of it, to float about (the eraser takes it away again)
- Pick a crayon and draw on the walls with your finger, sitting in the pilot's seat too
Anytime
- Tap to wake up from a nap, get off a ride or a bench, or stop looking through a telescope
- Tap an ice cream cart for an ice cream, a fountain to make it splash, or a telescope to look through it
- Tap a city's billboard, or a sign, to write your own words on it, paint it and give it a sticker
- See yourself, or look through your own eyes
- Back to the start
Building
The four-squares button opens the bag: every color of block, glass, steps, doors, beds and lights. Tap one to put it in your picked slot (or drag it onto any slot). It has a lot more:
- Big builds: a whole house, shop, tower, fire station or skyscraper, a stretch of new land out into the sea, a bridge, or a long road. Tap where it should go to see it there, then tap it to build it (on a computer, R turns it round).
- Fun things: an ice cream cart, a splash fountain or a telescope of your own (on the Moon too).
- Signs: on a post or flat on a wall, with your own words, colors and a sticker on top.
- Buckets of water and lava, which flow out over the land; the empty bucket scoops them back up.
- Food: an apple, a carrot, a cookie, an ice cream and more. Hold some and tap to eat it, munch munch.
- Crayons, to draw on any wall with your finger, and an eraser to rub it off.
- Cars and space vehicles to park anywhere, toys and toy animals, and spawn eggs that hatch real (friendly) animals.
The Clothes tab dresses you up: shirts, pants, shorts, skirts and overalls in any color, or the dice for a surprise.
Getting around
- Cars: tap a fire truck, a police car, the bulldozer, the concrete mixer, a pickup or a corvette to hop in. The yellow arrows steer, the green button goes, and the pink door gets out. Honk, switch the siren on, buckle your seatbelt, or sit inside to look out of the windows.
- Customize anything you drive or fly with the paint palette: your colors, a sticker, and your name in big letters.
- Planes fly between the airports by themselves: walk up a big plane's stairs, pick where to go, and be its pilot or a passenger. Walk the aisles, pull the blinds down, or open a door up in the sky and whoosh, out you go (tap jump twice to fly)!
- Helicopters wait on the round helipads, and one goes up to the lookout on the mountain. Anywhere, the helicopter button calls one to come and fetch you.
- The steam train goes round on its own railway, over viaducts and through tunnels: tap it at a station and pick a stop, or wait on a platform and it comes for you.
- The ferry waits at the pier: walk or drive onto it, and it sails you across.
Getting into anything asks a little quiz first: an easy sum or a word with a letter missing, read out loud. A wrong answer just goes away, so you try again. Grown-ups can give it fewer answers to pick from, or turn it off, in Options.
Space
Up in the clouds at Cloudtop, the rocket waits on its pad. Step onto the yellow mat at its hatch, pick where to go, and it counts down, blasts off and flies you across space. Go inside it on the way, float about, and press the buttons.
On the Moon you float about. There's a moon base, a playground, trampolines to bounce sky-high on, and moon rovers in a garage by the pad. Earth, the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars are round: walk right round them and over the poles. Out at the big planets, explore the orbiting satellites and look through their windows.

- 🐚 Seashell BayThe city on the island to the south, with a fountain with a duck in it, and the ferry pier at the bottom.
- 🏔️ Pinecone PeaksA snowy mountain island to the east, with a little wooden village, an airport up on a hill and a lookout on the top.
- 🐪 SaduOut in the desert, with camels.
- ☁️ CloudtopUp in the clouds, where the rocket waits on its launch pad (the space elevator goes up there too).
- 🌴 The mainlandParrot Jungle, Blossom Hill, Snowflake Village, Maple Hollow and Giraffe Plains, by plane or by train.
- 🌙 The MoonA moon base and a little city, trampolines, a garden of planets, an observatory, and rovers to drive over the craters.
- 🛰️ The Space StationGoing round and round the Earth: walk its glass dome and its long arms, and look out at the planet.
- 🪐 The planetsWalk right round Mercury, Venus and Mars. At Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune you dock at a big satellite with play areas.
Fun things
- Every city and airport has a playground: swings, a slide, a roundabout, a seesaw and a bouncy duck. Tap one to have a go.
- Tap an ice cream cart for an ice cream, a fountain to make it splash, or a telescope to look far away.
- Tap a city's big billboard to write your own words on it, for everyone to see.
- Tap an animal to pet it, a bed for a little nap, or the top of a bench to sit on it.
- The little-person button shows you from behind as you walk and fly; tap it again to look through your own eyes.
